Boost Reading Skills & Vocabulary

Job ID: 37779038

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor's in English and recognize that my English level is at B1. I am seeking a dedicated mentor, preferably a student around 25 years of age, who can guide me in enhancing my ability to read literature effectively. This mentorship will focus on not just improving my knowledge but also expanding my vocabulary.

**Ideal Skills and Experience:**
- Proficiency in English at a higher level than B1
- Pursuing or having completed a degree in English, Linguistics, or a related field
- Previous experience in tutoring, especially in areas of reading, pronunciation, and language comprehension
- Patience and excellent communication skills, with an aptitude for teaching language concepts clearly
- Familiarity with a variety of literary genres and complex texts

**Requirements:**
- **Frequency of Sessions:** I am looking to have these tutoring sessions three times a week. This regularity is crucial for me to see consistent improvement in my skills.
- **Session Medium:** Our tutoring sessions should be conducted via video calls. This preference is due to the importance of visual interaction in language learning, especially in pronunciation and understanding nuances in text.
- **Focus Areas:** Though I skipped specifying particular areas needing improvement in the questionnaire, I am interested in enhancing all aspects of my English proficiency. This includes, but is not limited to, pronunciation and accent, understanding complex texts, and vocabulary expansion.

**Goals:**
- To become proficient in pronouncing English accurately and reducing my accent.
- To develop strategies for understanding and analyzing complex literary texts.
- To significantly expand my vocabulary, ensuring it is both diverse and applicable in various contexts.

I am looking forward to partnering with someone who is not only knowledgeable but also passionate about English literature and language. Your mentorship will play a pivotal role in achieving my academic and personal development goals.
