Title: Awareness of Breast Cancer,The Symptoms, Risk Factors and Outcomes of Breast Cancer Among Female Students of Open University Malaysia (OUM)

• An objective of this research is to determine the level of Awareness of breast cancer, the symptoms, risk factors and outcomes of breast cancer among female students of Open University Malaysia (OUM).
• This quantitative method able to produce more information to the objectives of the study, which variable in breast cancer awareness will be used. Therefore, in this study a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study design will be conducted from February 2025 till May 2025 from randomly selected faculties to determine the level of breast cancer awareness among OUM female students
• A descriptive quantitative research design,
• Study setting-Open University Malaysia
• Cluster of Business & Management, Cluster of Technology & Applied Sciences, Cluster of Education and Cluster of Social Sciences & Humanities. The university offered Diploma, Bachelor, Master, Doctor of Philosophy and Postgraduate Diploma in teaching programs.
• The population of female students that researcher is going to use as a sample for the research is from all the clusters.
• Participants are registered female students Cluster of Business &Management, Cluster of Technology & Applied Sciences, Cluster of Educationand Cluster of Social Sciences & Humanities at Open University Malaysia (OUM) from Learning Centre Kuala Lumpur,Bangi, Banting and Kelana Jaya (effective from 1st February 2024 Petaling Jaya LC shifted to Kelana Jaya) and Seremban.
• The study is using convenience sampling
• Sample size calculation - The researcher in this study opted to use the formula developed by Krejci and Morgan in 1970 for calculating the sample size. The formula provided by Krejci and Morgan was utilized to establish the required sampling size. Therefore, from this calculation researcher need 100 respondents for this study.

• Inclusion and exclusion criteria of the sample
a)Inclusion Criteria:
• Subjects will select as participants as follows:
• Registered female students in Open University Malaysia
• Female students from Cluster of Business & Management, Cluster of Technology& Applied Sciences, Cluster of Education and Cluster of Social Sciences & Humanities
• Undergraduate and Postgraduate female students
• Only female students from Learning Centre Kuala Lumpur, Kelana Jaya Bangi, Banting and Seremban included in the study
• Able to understand, speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia (For Malaysian students)
• Age between 21 to 50 years old and above

(b) Exclusion Criteria:
•Subjects will not be selected as participants as follows:
•Students from other Learning Centre of Open University Malaysia
•Students who are unavailable during the period study
•The male students will be excluded from this study
•Female less than 21-year-old because anyone below 21-year-old was still consider as minor in Malaysia

• In this study, one set of questionnaire consists of demographics and Awareness of breast cancer, the symptoms, risk factors and outcomes of breast cancer among female students of Open University Malaysia (OUM) prepared in dual languages in English and Bahasa Malaysia for the better understanding of the participants

• The questionnaires prepared both in manual form and Google Form due to the current study method which is more on online classes. The validity of an instrument is the extent to which it actually measures what it is designed to measure.
