Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and SOD1

I need a literature review about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis disease and SOD1 gene and protein. The literature review must cover the following list (headings).

I. SOD1function in the organisms and its relation to ALS
- This part must be simple and concise. Explain SOD1 function using primary references.
- Show evidence of why SOD1 is related to ALS.

II. Structure of the SOD1 mutated protein
- How the structure of SOD1 protein can change due to a mutation in SOD1 gene.
- This part must explain using the scientific literature how a mutation in SOD1 gene can affect the conformation (structure) of the SOD1 protein.
- This part must also explain how the different structure induced by the mutation can affect other proteins, structures or cellular processes.

III. Cellular processes and activities in ALS
- In this part write about specifically how SOD1 mutations can affect different cellular processes. Search for findings in different animal models (rats, mice, zebrafish, c. elegans, etc.) and in non-animal models (yeast, for example).
- You can write about how different mutations of SOD1induce impairments in different cellular processes but you must include the mutation G93A-SOD1 (this is mandatory).
- Reserve the cellular process of mitophagy (one of cellular activities affected) for the ending of this section. Write about other first, and in the end write about how sod1 can affect mitophagy.
