Project Coordinator for a "Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace" themed project
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm looking for an experienced freelance project coordinator to oversee our breastfeeding-friendly workplace initiative in Thika, Kenya. This project is crucial and the coordinator will directly report to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating training schedules: The coordinator will manage training activities such as breastfeeding benefits sessions, workplace policy workshops, and health and safety training.
- Facilitating the training: The primary participants of these sessions will be employees, staff, supervisors, and managers. The coordinator will ensure these sessions run smoothly and effectively.
- Data Collection: Utilizing various methods including surveys and questionnaires, interviews and focus groups, and observational studies. The coordinator will oversee all aspects of our data collection process.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL): The coordinator will be responsible for daily project oversight, ensuring all objectives are met and reporting back to the Executive Director.
- Liaison: Acting as the main link between our organization and the client organization.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in project coordination, particularly in workplace initiatives.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with different organization levels and the client.
- Experience in training coordination and data collection.
- Familiarity with MEAL processes.
- Previous exposure to health-related projects will be an added advantage.
