Laser Floor Flatness Survey

I have an existing 1,100 sq ft residential concrete slab that must meet the National Wood Flooring Association tolerance of 3/16" over 10 ft before I lay engineered hardwood. To pinpoint every dip and crown accurately, I need someone who can arrive with a calibrated horizontal rotary laser (or equivalent set-up) and document the slab’s flatness in detail.

Here’s what I expect once you’re on site:

• A full laser sweep of the entire surface, recording elevations at a spacing tight enough to capture subtle variations.
• A clear, professional report that highlights all low and high spots, includes elevation maps or grids, and states how far each variance falls outside the 3/16" guideline.
• Practical recommendations—grinding, self-leveler, feather edging, etc.—so the slab can be brought into spec for engineered hardwood.
• All findings referenced to NWFA requirements and the flooring manufacturer’s literature.

You’ll probably be in and out in a single visit, but the measurement accuracy and clarity of the report are critical.
