Key Skills business and IT report
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
You will be required to investigate and examine the trends of IT and computing job market, and write a report about it.
Please use the internet or other media to find as much information you can in order to describe how the IT job market has evolved in the last five years and its future trends for the next 5 to 10 years. You will need to identify jobs which are most in demand and on offer, how they had evolved in the past years and how they are projected in the future. You are also asked to identify jobs which are best remunerated.
The report should achieve the following objectives:
a) Describe and illustrate trends of market jobs in IT and Computing.
b) Selection of types of jobs of interest.
c) Identify skills required for the jobs
d) Identify skills you possess that are relevant to the job
e) Identify skills you expect to acquire during your studies at university.
f) Identify skills you will need to acquire outside university.
g) Draw your personal Development Plan
The report should be in the following order/sections:
1. Table of contents with page numbers
2. Introduction of the report
3. main report:
o Describe and illustrate trends of market jobs in IT and Computing.
o Summary of primary and secondary research findings.
o Evidence of an integrated, coherent group effort.
o Reflection on group management
5. Individual work:
o Selection of types of jobs of interest.
o Identify skills required for the jobs
o Identify skills you possess that are relevant to the job
o Identify skills you expect to acquire during your studies at university
o Identify skills you will need to acquire outside University.
o Draw your personal Development Plan
