AI's Environment Impact: In-depth Analysis
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm seeking a proficient writer or researcher with strong knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and environmental science to prepare a comprehensive report focused on the environmental implications of AI.
My clients are required by a new certification standard to estimate the environmental impact of their use of AI. I ultimately need to be able to provide this estimate to them.
I DO NOT want a report that's generically about AI and the environment; instead, I want someone to:
1. Review the relevant literature on AI and the environment
2. Create reasonable metrics tying specific corporate AI use to environmental impact. I need to get to something like "Company Y uses 12 million ChatGPT tokens daily. 12 million tokens may add between X and X pounds of carbon to the atmosphere."
3. Rigorously define assumptions and cite relevant papers
The deliverable can be a simple document sent to me. It can be just long enough to accomplish those 3 goals. This does not need to be a perfectly formatted paper for publication.
This is a project where there is not going to be a clear correct answer. I understand the science here is emerging. Nevertheless, my clients need to be able to make some kind of good-faith estimate.
