VB Dynamic Report Generator Needed
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need an experienced VB developer to add a robust report-generation module to my existing application. The core requirement is the ability to build reports whose layout can change at runtime—groupings, columns, charts, and even page orientation must adapt to user selections rather than following a fixed template.
You will work with the current VB codebase, hook into my SQL Server data layer, then expose a clean way for end-users to design, save, and export their own reports (PDF and Excel are the primary targets). Crystal Reports or ActiveReports experience is a plus, though I am open to whatever reporting engine you feel gives the greatest flexibility in Visual Basic.
Acceptance criteria
• Users can choose any data fields and instantly preview the resulting report.
• Layout edits—such as moving columns, adding calculations, or switching from table to chart—apply without recompiling.
• Exported files preserve the chosen dynamic layout exactly.
