Biodiversity Evaluation and Habitat Analysis
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I require an experienced ecologist to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of biodiversity in a specific area, with a focus on determining habitat usage. The scope of work will particularly pay attention to:
- Investigating the presence of bats and other protected species on site including nesting birds.
- Gathering data from the local environmental record centre pertaining to these species and their habitats.
- Compiling a planning report based on findings.
The ideal candidate should be well versed with bat and bird species, their habitats, and the environmental laws protecting them. Experience in data analysis, report writing, and ecological research will make for a strong application. Deep understanding of wetlands, forests and grasslands is a plus. The aim of the report is to ensure that our planning application is approved by the local authority (LA) and so an ecologist that is versed in phrasing reports such that it meets the requirements of the LA, and does not require significant further cost in meeting any findings would be preferred.
