Advanced Formal Lab Report (FLR) - Pollen tube formation and the Central Dogma of Biology

You are expected to apply your knowledge, understanding, lab skills, critical thinking and inquiry skills while performing an investigation of the effect of various inhibitory compounds on the germination rate and pollen tube formation of Brassica rapa pollen grains. You will form conclusions using scientific evidence and you will justify and communicate your results in the form of a formal lab report (FLR).

You will be provided with a data set, an electronic template, statistical worksheets for t-tests, and a table of critical t-values for determining statistical significance for writing your FLR, which will include specific instructions for each section/component of the report. These sections/components include:

Title
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction (including reference to primary sources)
Materials and Methods
Results (including a written component, Table and Figure)
Discussion (including reference to primary sources)
Acknowledgements (optional)
References
