Optimize Large-Scale Report Generation Script

I'm in need of an expert who can optimize our current report generation script. This script produces a massive number of reports on a daily basis - a million to be exact. These reports are generated based on data from a whopping 100,000 IoT sensors.
Key Areas of Improvement:
- Data Retrieval: The script's current data retrieval process is quite slow. We're looking for someone who can significantly speed this up.
- Data Processing: The script's efficiency in processing the data has room for improvement. We need the processing to be streamlined and optimized.
- Report Formatting: The final reports need to be formatted in a way that is both accurate and easily comprehensible. We're looking for a freelancer who can enhance this aspect of the script as well.
