We have to design and compare two off-grid solar energy systems for a standalone family house in Melbourne using **HOMER software**.
First, we need to create one system that uses **only rooftop PV panels with a battery storage unit**, and another that uses **rooftop PV panels with a hybrid battery + hydrogen energy storage system**.
Then, we have to:
* **Set assumptions** about energy use, load profile, and components,
* **Size both systems** in HOMER,
* **Analyze technical and economic performance** (like costs, efficiency, reliability, etc.), and
* **Compare** the two systems from a **techno-economic** point of view.
Finally, the report must include our **name and student number**, use the **Harvard referencing style**, and be **submitted via Canvas by 10 Oct 2025 (11:59 pm)**.
