Senior CGI Product Renderer Needed for Premium Hardware Product (Consumer Electronics)
Budget: $7,000 – $10,000 USD
We’re building TWYST: a premium, design-forward smart toothbrush brand preparing for launch, and we’re looking for a senior CGI product rendering specialist to take our near-final Blender asset library and elevate it to world-class, launch-ready visuals.
This is not concept design.
This is not industrial design.
This is high-end product visualization for packaging, website (hero/parallax), and launch marketing.
You will be working from an existing, near-final product model and established visual direction. The job is to refine realism, materials, lighting, UI clarity, and overall polish to a premium consumer-tech standard.
Important:
This role is governed by our detailed TWYST CGI Production Contract, which is attached to this job post. Please review that document carefully before applying. It defines the scope, milestones, deliverables, output counts, quality standards, and acceptance criteria. We expect applicants to be comfortable working to a clearly defined production scope.
What you’ll be doing
Milestone 1 – Asset Audit & Normalization
Audit and clean up our existing Blender asset library so it is production-ready and consistent across:
-Multiple product colorways
-Multiple on-device UI states
-Screen lighting variations
This becomes the master asset base for all future renders.
Milestone 2 – Product, Packaging & Interaction Renders
Produce high-resolution, photorealistic product stills for:
-Packaging layouts and inserts
-Website product detail and hero sections
-Instructional visuals
-Front and angled hero shots (no charging base)
-Close-ups (bristles, capsule system, button interaction)
-Toothpaste dispensing onto bristles
-In-hand ergonomics
All renders must be suitable for real-world marketing and packaging use.
Milestone 3 – Lifestyle Renders
Integrate the TWYST product into pre-selected lifestyle scenes (bathroom, sink-side, routine use) and elevate them to a premium, launch-ready standard.
Some renders will include natural human interaction (hands, usage moments).
This is refinement and realism, not environment concepting or scene ideation.
What we’re looking for
This role is a strong fit for someone who:
-Has deep experience with photorealistic product rendering (consumer tech, hardware, beauty devices, medical devices, premium CPG, etc.)
-Is highly proficient in Blender (materials, lighting, shading, render pipelines)
-Has experience rendering screens or UI on physical products (icons and text must read cleanly in marketing crops)
-Understands how product renders are actually used across web, packaging, PDPs, and marketing
-Can work within a defined design system and elevate assets to a premium, production-ready standard
-Cares deeply about realism, surface quality, lighting nuance, and material fidelity
This is not a fit for:
-Architecture-only or interior visualization portfolios
-AI-only or prompt-based image generation
-Low-detail, stylized, or illustrative rendering styles
-Designers looking to redesign the product rather than render it
Deliverables & Quality Bar
-You will deliver a defined set of high-resolution PNG renders across three milestones, as detailed in the attached contract.
All outputs must be:
-Launch-ready
-Minimum 4K resolution (higher for hero close-ups when required)
-Photorealistic and production-quality
-Suitable for immediate use in web and packaging production
-Visually consistent across colorways, UI states, and lighting conditions
-Final source files used to generate the renders (Blender scenes, textures, materials, etc.) must be delivered with each milestone, as outlined in the contract.
How to apply
To be considered, please include:
-3–5 examples of photorealistic product renders (consumer hardware or physical products, not architecture)
A short note on:
-Your experience using Blender (or other software) for product visualization
-Any experience rendering physical products with on-device UI/screens
-Confirmation that you’ve reviewed the attached TWYST CGI Production Contract and are comfortable with the scope and deliverables
-Applications that do not reference relevant product rendering work or that do not acknowledge the attached contract will be deprioritized.
Why this project is different
This is not a one-off render request.
We are building a production-quality visual asset system that will power our brand launch, packaging, website, and marketing.
If you enjoy turning solid assets into brand-defining, premium visuals and care about production-level quality, consistency, and realism, this will be a strong fit.
