Realistic Chameleon Animation

Job ID: 40035112

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a piece of live-action footage shot in an urban setting—a quiet back-alley lined with brick walls and a single ornamental tree. I need a hyper-realistic CG chameleon seamlessly composited into this plate. The creature should crawl up the trunk, pause halfway to adapt its skin tones from muted browns to the wall’s reddish hues, then resume climbing. Everything must sit believably in the scene: accurate scale, subtle eye and limb motion, contact shadows, reflections on nearby windows, and color-matched grading so it feels captured in-camera.

You are free to use the toolset you’re most comfortable with—Blender, Maya, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Nuke, After Effects, or any combination—as long as the final result holds up to close scrutiny at 4K. I can supply the original camera plate (ProRes 422, 10-bit), a reference HDRI, and lens data. Please handle tracking, lighting, texturing, animation, and final comp.

Deliverables
• 10-15 second final clip, 4K ProRes or DNxHR, fully graded and ready to drop into my edit
• Separate pass of the chameleon with alpha (EXR sequence)

I’ll provide prompt feedback on blocking, look-dev, and the color-shift timing to keep the process smooth. Let me know your estimated turnaround and any other assets you might require.
