Product Design of Ancient Wall Clock Casing
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
This is a job for a freelancer familiar with design ideas and sense for esthetic design for old clocks, furniture, etc. The project needs a skilled product designer to create a classic, large-sized wall clock casing made of 3D-printed plastics and wood combined. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating vintage-inspired designs and be able to work with larger dimensions. The project requires attention to detail and the ability to bring the client's vision to life.
The aim is to create a 3D sketch of a clock which later can be used for mechanical 3D modeling and printing piecewise. The clock movement itself is not addressed here. It will be brought out of the box. Additional to this movement, a mechanics with moving figures already exists and needs to be incorporated into the design.
Based on old clocks, a graphical representation of the casing needs to be designed, which combines different design elements: clock movement itself, the existing mechanical model with moving figures, plus decorations, ornaments and 3d figures which can be found online. First, the casing should be created only as a graphical illustration!
Requirements for product design:
- experience in creating classic designs
- knowledge of vintage-inspired aesthetics
- help with design ideas using a step-wise design approach from rough sketch towards a detailed visualization
- combining parts to well-designed visualization
- expertise in visualization using already existing elements from internet databases
- reliability on timing and ability to follow guidelines provided
- proficiency in creating results of good quality
- attention to detail and ability to meet client's specifications.

- portfolio of previous design projects
- identification of useful 3D elements from the internet which can be integrated in the casing
- combining existing 3D elements with existing parts / restrictions
