LiDAR Point Cloud to RICS-Style Floor Plans + Area Report
Budget: £50 – £100 GBP
I have a high-resolution LiDAR point cloud (.LAS) of a UK commercial property. I need a freelancer to manually interpret the point cloud (using professional point cloud/CAD software) and produce:
1. PDF floor plans for all floors/levels identified in the scan (e.g., Ground and First).
2. A RICS-style area measurement report suitable to support a UK Business Rates “Check”.
Deliverables
A) Floor plan PDFs (one per floor)
• Clean, professional, architectural plan drawings
• External walls, internal partitions, stair core(s), doors/windows where defensible
• Stairs shown clearly (direction indicated)
• Scaled output with a scale bar and clear titles
B) RICS-style report PDF
• Executive summary
• Methodology (how the LiDAR was interpreted and processed)
• Assumptions and limitations (scan occlusions, glazing, etc.)
• Floor-by-floor breakdown with GIA / NIA (m²) and a clear area schedule
• Notes on exclusions relevant to rating (e.g., stair cores/service shafts/structural walls where applicable)
Requirements
• Must work from the .LAS file and apply a defensible, manual surveyor-style interpretation (no tracing other drawings).
• Experience producing RICS-style measured survey outputs from point clouds is strongly preferred.
• All measurements in metric (m²) with professional rounding.
What I will provide
• The .LAS point cloud file
• A reference example PDF (style/layout guidance only; do not copy/trace)
