Lakefront house
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Looking for a lakefront plan with one main level and a basement for retiring couple with adult children (not living with us, but will visit). 1 acre lot that is narrow (~125ft) and very long. Lot gently descends from road to water and is perfect for walkout basement, pool area, and outdoor cooking/party area.
- small pool and hot tub (low maintenance)
- dual masters on main level each with outside/covered access to back (masters don’t need to be big)
- looking for something from 3-5k sqft
- 3 car garage with extra space for garden and other equipment
- additional 2 or 3 car garage for shop, music, hobby space
- basement area with family room/entertainment area, wet bar, storage, pool table, big screen, kitchen
- maximize outdoor space - covered areas, outdoor cooking, areas off off master bedrooms
- office space - could be bedrooms we use, both of us work remotely, but retiring,, so dedicated office space will be one space
- really want some space to play with woodworking and music. Second garage space for that should do that. This is really important to have space for hobbies.
- open floor plan
- no need for formal dining room, but place off kitchen to eat is fine
- big open kitchen with large pantry, island, and bar
Like the slater plans. Built one and very happy, but rooms are a bit small. Love the kitchen.
