Expert JavaScript and GLSL Developer Needed for Interactive 3D Shading Project
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project Description: We are seeking an experienced JavaScript and GLSL developer to enhance an existing 3D application with advanced lighting and shading techniques. This project will involve working with both JavaScript (JS) and the OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL) to implement dynamic lighting effects that interact with user input and scene changes.
Responsibilities:
Enhance and extend OBJ file loading capabilities to include vertex normals alongside vertex positions.
Configure Vertex Array Objects (VAOs) to handle complex vertex buffers that include both position and normal data.
Develop efficient shader programs in GLSL to achieve detailed Goraud and Phong shading effects.
Integrate multiple light sources into the scene, ensuring realistic lighting through ambient, directional, and point light calculations.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth integration of shading techniques with the existing application architecture.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with WebGL or similar technologies.
In-depth knowledge of GLSL and experience writing vertex and fragment shaders.
Familiarity with 3D graphics principles, particularly in rendering and shading techniques.
Experience with real-time interactive applications and performance optimization.
Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Project Deliverables:
Fully functional vertex and fragment shaders implementing Goraud and Phong shading.
JavaScript code that correctly sets up and handles mixed vertex buffers.
A demonstrable integration of lighting models that respond dynamically to scene and user interactions.
