Event DMX Lighting Technician needs to start today
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are seeking an experienced DMX Lighting Programmer to create a complete lighting program/show file for our 2-day cultural celebration event. This is a 100% REMOTE/VIRTUAL project - no on-site visit required.
The Vision:
• Day 1 (Night): Elegant architectural lighting with warm, spiritual tones.
• Day 2 (Morning): High-energy DMX light show with rainbow colors, moving head beams, cold sparks, and fireworks finale synchronization.
What We Provide:
You will receive a COMPLETE lighting package including:
• Comprehensive Lighting Plan: Full technical specifications, equipment list, DMX cue sheets, and scene-by-scene breakdown.
• Professional Visual Guides: Annotated diagrams showing exact equipment placement and what each fixture should do.
• Video References: Video mockups showing the exact desired look for each scene.
• Equipment List: Complete inventory of all fixtures (moving heads, wash lights, uplights, cold sparks).
Your Responsibilities:
• Create a complete lighting show file based on our detailed specifications.
• Program all cues, colors, movements, and timing for each scene.
• Provide the show file compatible with standard DMX lighting consoles.
• Provide clear instructions for our on-site operator to load and run the show.
• Be available for remote support/adjustments if needed during setup.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Expert-level experience programming DMX lighting for live events.
• Proficiency with professional lighting console software (e.g., MA Lighting, Avolites, Chamsys, etc.).
• Experience programming:
◦ Moving Head Beams (Beam 230, Beam 330)
◦ LED Wash Lights with zoom
◦ Large quantities of RGB Uplights
◦ Cold Spark Machines
• Ability to work from detailed specifications and visual references.
Deliverables:
• Complete show file ready to load onto lighting console.
• Cue list with timing and descriptions.
• Setup instructions for on-site operator.
