Interior Design Brief: Reimagining the Current Layout with Aesthetic Feature
Overview:
The goal is to redesign the current interior space to incorporate a compact elevator, improve functionality, and enhance both the practical and aesthetic aspects of key areas, particularly the dining space. The design should focus on seamless integration between different zones while maintaining a strong visual and functional flow.
1. Incorporation of New Compact Elevator
• Dimensions: The new elevator will measure 3 feet 6 inches by 3 feet 6 inches.
• Placement: The elevator should be integrated into the entrance foyer, offering access to the office area on the upper floor.
• Design Considerations: Ensure that the elevator is discreet yet functional, aligning with the aesthetic of the overall space.
2. Ground Floor Layout
Living Area:
• Include a comfortable lounge with a TV, designed to feel open and inviting.
• The design should create a sense of spaciousness while still feeling cozy.
Dining Area:
• Place a 8-seater dining table within the open-plan space.
• The dining area should flow naturally into the living and dry kitchen areas but maintain its own sense of identity.
• Aesthetic Feature:
• Incorporate small plant placements around the dining area to add natural elements and warmth to the space. Consider using a mix of plants—such as low-maintenance indoor plants like snake plants, succulents, or ferns—in decorative pots.
• A small plant display on a nearby shelf, a hanging planter near the window, or potted plants on a console table could enhance the dining area without cluttering the space.
• Lighting: Enhance the ambiance by considering soft, ambient lighting such as pendant lights over the dining table or LED strip lights around the plants, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere during evening hours.
Dry Kitchen Area:

• Propose a New Design:
• Reimagine the wet kitchen with a focus on efficient use of space while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic.
• Include ample storage, modern appliances, and easy-to-clean surfaces for a practical yet stylish cooking environment.
4. Column Designation
• Important Columns:
• columns are mark in red for easy identification. Other columns, walls can be redesigned. Please use current doors, sliding doors and windows unless absolutely necceseary to relocate or replace them.
• Incorporate these columns into the design creatively, perhaps by turning them into design features (e.g., with custom wraps or structural treatments) so they don’t disrupt the flow.
5. Office Area Layout and Design
• Existing Conditions:
• The office area is currently enclosed with pocket doors due to the air conditioning system.
• New Design Considerations:
