Comprehensive Poultry Farm Approvals
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need a complete package of documents to secure Development Approval for a new duck-based poultry farm at 75 King Road, Oakford (Shire of Serpentine/Jarrahdale, WA). The operation will house a minimum of 2,000 ducks and must satisfy both the Shire’s planning officers and their Environmental Health team.
Scope of work
• Draft an Operational Management Plan detailing daily practices, stocking densities, water use, bio-security and contingency procedures for 2,000+ ducks.
• Prepare stand-alone Odour, Acoustic/Noise, Dust, Waste and Light Management Plans that reflect current WA guidelines and the Shire’s rural groundwater protection requirements.
• Produce site and elevation drawings for all proposed structures (poultry sheds, water tanks, feed silos, access roads, bunding, etc.) ready for council submission; CAD or Revit output preferred.
• Address food-safety compliance: registration of the business for primary production of eggs, and documented alignment with Eggs and Egg Products Standard 4.2.5 plus the Primary Production & Processing Standard for Eggs, Poultry and Sprouts.
• Outline a framework for annual Shire inspections and supply a simple checklist we can keep updated to demonstrate ongoing compliance.
Acceptance criteria
1. All plans meet Serpentine/Jarrahdale Shire formatting and lodgement requirements.
2. Technical content references current Australian Standards and EPA guidelines where relevant.
3. Documents are delivered in editable Word/PDF (and DWG for drawings) ready for direct upload to the Shire’s online portal.
4. At least one revision round included after initial council feedback.
If you have local WA approval experience and can turn this around quickly, let’s discuss your timeline and any information you still need from me.
