3D Camping Trailer Model for Web Configurator – Blender, glTF, Modular Parts
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a 3D modeller to build a camping trailer (on wheels) in Blender from the reference photos provided. The model will drive a WEB-BASED PRODUCT CONFIGURATOR, so it must be built as modular, swappable parts and export cleanly to glTF/GLB for real-time use in the browser.
This first job is a PROOF OF CONCEPT. If it goes well it scales to ~50 customizable items (solar, shower tent, kitchen, battery, lights, shelving, doors, etc.). Build it so scaling is easy: clean, modular, well-named.
REFERENCE
- Model the trailer from the attached reference photos. Match real exterior proportions; accuracy matters more than artistic licence.

- Solar panel
- Hitch / tow coupling
- Large 265/60/17 wheels
- 3 doors
- Awning
HOW IT MUST BE BUILT (the important part)
1. Modular, not welded. Every customizable element is its own separate, named object (its own mesh) with a sensible origin/pivot, so the configurator can show, hide and swap each part independently. Do NOT deliver one fused mesh.
2. Clean topology. Quad-based where it matters, no stray n-gons, no overlapping geometry. Real-time poly budget — state your target tri count.
3. UVs + PBR. Fully UV-unwrapped, non-overlapping, consistent texel density. PBR materials (base colour, metallic, roughness, normal). Textures 2K, power-of-two.
4. Real-world scale, metric, with a logical model origin (hitch or chassis centre).
5. Naming convention. Clear, consistent object/material names (e.g. trailer_body, part_solarpanel, wheel_FL, door_side_L, awning).
DELIVERABLES
- Native .blend source file (organised, named)
- Web-optimised .glb (glTF 2.0) that loads correctly in model-viewer / Three.js
- Textures folder
- One-page README: object/part list + naming used
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
- .glb opens with no errors in a standard glTF viewer
- Each listed part is a separate, correctly-pivoted, named object
- Proportions match the reference photos
- Materials render correctly in real time (not just in Blender's renderer)
