CAD expert for a complete product design of a modular charcoal grill
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Hello and thank you for your interest in my project.
My company is starting a new product line of outdoor high-end charcoal grills & smokers, this project is for designing the first grill in this new products line.
The final design will be delivered to the manufacturing facility to build this product (laser cutting of sheet metals, bending, assembly, packing, etc.).
I’m looking for a creative CAD expert who is passionate about outdoor cooking and BBQ, who can deliver this job on the best side and support me through this process,
Hopefully to build a strong collaborative relationship for the next products I am planning to build.
This will be a collaborative process between me and the chosen designer, I will provide references and detailed instructions.
Expectations:
* Understanding the product vision
* Pay extra attention to details, elegance (aesthetic), robustness & look and feel of the product
* Designing a smart solution for modularity of the grill accessories and modular parts
* Work in collaborative iterations and apply feedback to the design
* Generating a CAD model that is suitable for manufacturing (including all the different components and how they assembled together)
* Supporting manufacturing with changes as needed
* Generating illustrations (3D rendering)
* Prepare the model for CNC machining (sheet metals cutting, bending, assembly, etc.) in an efficient & cost effective way
* Model should be adjustable with different sizes
* Deliver all relevant model files

1. Concept Development & Exploration (sketches \ wireframes)
2. Decide on the product design language
3. Concept Refinement and Detailing
4. Engineering Development
5. Accessories design
6. 3D illustrations
7. Support manufacturing (Prepare the model for CNC machining)
