Senior Mobile QA Tester for Dating App MVP (Android & iOS)
Job Description
We are developing a culturally-aware dating application targeting African and diaspora markets. We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile QA Tester to rigorously test our MVP on both Android and iOS before beta and public launch.
This is not a generic mobile app. Trust, matching accuracy, chat reliability, subscription integrity, and user safety are critical. The objective is to identify bugs, logic flaws, UX issues, performance risks, and any misleading or broken paid features across both platforms.
Scope of Work
The QA tester will be responsible for testing both Android and iOS builds, including:
Functional testing (registration, profiles, matching, chat)
Subscription, in-app purchase, and paywall testing
Notification reliability testing
Stress testing of chat and matching features
Platform-specific UX and behavior validation
Detection of misleading, inconsistent, or broken paid features
Detailed bug reporting with reproducible steps
Testing will be conducted via:
Google Play Internal / Closed Testing (Android)
Apple TestFlight (iOS)
Required Experience (Mandatory)
Proven experience testing consumer mobile applications on both Android and iOS
Experience with dating, social, or marketplace apps
Strong understanding of Apple App Store and Google Play behaviors
Professional bug reporting using Jira, Trello, Linear, or similar tools
Ability to provide screenshots and screen recordings
Ability to classify bugs by severity (Blocker, Critical, Major, Minor)
Deliverables
Daily bug reports with full documentation
Mid-test QA summary report
Final QA report with severity classification
Retest confirmation after fixes
Project Duration
3–4 weeks of active QA testing
(Within a broader controlled testing window)
