Playwright E-Commerce Test Suite

I’m ready to put a robust Playwright test suite in place for my e-commerce site and want to start by automating two high-value flows: product search + purchase and the entire checkout process. The goal is reliable, repeatable regression coverage across Chrome, Firefox, and Safari so we can release with confidence.

I don’t yet have formal test cases on paper, so part of your job will be to help me think through and document the scenarios that matter most—edge cases, happy paths, and the quirks that only show up on certain browsers. Once we agree on the test plan, you’ll implement it in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript is fine) with clean page-object patterns, clear assertions, and concise reporting output.

Deliverables
• A written test plan outlining each scenario to be automated
• Playwright scripts covering product search, add-to-cart, and checkout on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari
• A README with setup steps, run commands, and how to view results locally or in CI
