Comprehensive HR System Functional Testing
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Our in-house HR platform is feature-rich—covering employee management, payroll, attendance, and a handful of smaller modules—and it now needs a full round of functional QA before the next release. I need you to start by shaping a clear test strategy, then build out the detailed test cases because nothing formal exists yet.
Scope
• Cover every major workflow: adding/editing employees, running payroll calculations, processing leave, real-time attendance capture, and the cross-module interactions that tie them together.
• Execute manual functional testing on web and mobile views; automation is a plus if it accelerates regression, but manual depth comes first.
• Log every defect with clear reproduction steps, severity, and screenshots/video in Jira (or a similar tracker we can agree on).
Deliverables
1. Test plan outlining scope, approach, environments, and timelines.
2. Comprehensive test case suite in Excel, TestRail, or another mutually agreed format.
3. Daily or sprint-end defect reports with priority tagging.
4. Final summary showing pass/fail rates, open issues, and recommended next steps.
Acceptance Criteria
– All critical and high-severity defects documented.
– Test coverage confirmed for employee management, payroll, and attendance workflows.
– Test cases reviewed and signed off by me before execution begins.
I’ll grant access to the staging environment, API docs, and our Slack channel for quick clarifications. Let’s bring the system to a release-ready state together.
