We are seeking an experienced freelance recruiter to help us source, screen, and hire qualified Medical Coders and Medical Billers for ongoing healthcare projects.
Job Overview
You will be responsible for identifying skilled professionals in medical coding and billing, ensuring they meet required certifications, experience levels, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Source and recruit qualified Medical Coders and Medical Billers
Screen candidates for experience in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems
Verify certifications such as CPC, CCS, CCA (or equivalent)
Conduct initial interviews and shortlist top candidates
Coordinate interviews with our internal hiring team
Maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for ongoing hiring needs
Use job boards, LinkedIn, freelancer platforms, and healthcare networks
Requirements
Proven experience in healthcare recruitment (preferred)
Strong understanding of medical coding and billing processes
Familiarity with U.S. healthcare or international billing standards (depending on your target market)
Ability to source candidates globally (remote hiring preferred)
Excellent communication and screening skills
Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or similar platforms
Preferred Skills
Prior recruitment for healthcare RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) roles
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical data confidentiality
Ability to close candidates quickly in competitive markets
