Japanese Family Voice Recording RFI
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I am scoping an upcoming voice-data collection that will ultimately require recordings from 100 Japanese family pairs – parents and at least one sibling in each household. Before green-lighting the project, I need to understand if you can truly source, record, and hand over the data to the standard we have in mind and to surface any red-flags early.
Scope I need you to comment on
• Recruitment: families must come from a wide spread of regions so we capture natural dialectal diversity, not just large urban centres.
• Recording: sessions will mix structured prompts with a short segment of free conversation. Audio must be captured on mobile recording devices (smartphone or dedicated handheld recorders) set to 48 kHz/16-bit or better in a quiet environment. Professional studio setups or laptop mics are acceptable only if they do not break consistency with the primary mobile workflow.
• Delivery: clean, well-labelled WAV files plus a speaker/consent spreadsheet, all returned through a secure channel.

If you have successfully handled family or multi-speaker Japanese corpora before, mention it, but depth of your plan matters more than a simple list of past jobs.
