Airbnb Co-host Agreement Legal Review & Modified Drafting
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m looking for a Victorian Admitted lawyer, licensed to practice law in Victoria, Australia to review and strengthen an existing co-host agreement used in my short-term rental business.
The agreement is between myself in my role as a co-host managing Airbnb-style properties and the properties owners and describes the services I provide and the terms upon which I provide them amongst other inclusions. I want to ensure the contract provides strong legal protection for my business under Victorian, and Australian law, clearly defines responsibilities, and minimises risk.
Scope of Work:
Review current co-host agreement (already drafted)
Identify gaps, risks, or unclear clauses
Strengthen protections around:
Liability and indemnity
Payment terms and fee structure
Termination conditions
Property damage and guest-related issues to push liability to owner
Ensure limitation of liability to business and does not expose risk to personal assets
Owner responsibilities vs co-host responsibilities
Dispute resolution
Provide a risk profile that highlights areas of exposure and recommended mitigation
Ensure compliance with relevant laws (Australian / Victoria )
Provide a revised, polished version of the contract
Required Candidate Characteristics
Victorian Admitted lawyer
Ideal Candidate Characteristics:
Experience in contract law, preferably real estate or short-term rental agreements
Familiarity with Airbnb or property management/co-hosting arrangements
Strong attention to detail and clear legal drafting skills
Deliverables:
Edited contract with tracked changes or redlines
Final clean version of the agreement
Brief summary of key improvements/recommendations
Budget:
Open to proposals (fixed price preferred)
Timeline:
Looking to complete within 5–10 days but open to availability
