Real Estate Tax Bill
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I purchased a house in Franklin County, Illinois in 2019. I came from California so when I got my real estate tax bill owing $2922 I did not think much about it as property tax in California is very high.
Since I've lived in Franklin County Illinois, I've noticed the taxes of homes exactly (built by the same contractor and on the same street as mine) are as much as $1200 or more lower than what I am paying.
My home at 1307 Daffodil Lane is a 2 bd, 1 bath with a real estate tax of $2,922
The home across the street at 1308 Daffodil Lane, which is also a 2bd, 1 bath has a real estate tax of $!,072!
I even noticed homes that are larger than mine a few blocks away on a larger land parcel has a real estate tax base much lower than mine.
I can not find any forms online for Franklin County Illinois, to request review, nor do I know how to go about it.
I'm looking for someone who can assist me in lowering my real estate tax rate other than just the homestead exemption
