Virtual Appointment Assistant Build
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I need a simple yet reliable virtual assistant whose sole job is to handle appointment scheduling for my medical practice. The assistant must live in two places—inside our existing mobile app (iOS + Android, React Native) and on our public website (WordPress). Patients should be able to pick an available slot, receive an instant confirmation, and get automatic reminders by email and push notification.
Core workflow
• Real-time calendar sync with Google Workspace and Outlook 365
• Intelligent slot management that blocks double-booking and respects provider-specific rules (e.g., new vs. follow-up visit lengths)
• Basic patient intake form before the booking is final
• Admin dashboard where staff can override or manually add appointments
Security & compliance
All data must travel through TLS and rest in an encrypted database; PHI handling must follow HIPAA guidelines.
Deliverables
1. Responsive web widget embedded on the existing WordPress site
2. React Native module integrated into the mobile app repo
3. Backend (Node.js or Django—your suggestion is welcome) with REST/GraphQL endpoints, JWT auth, and role-based access
4. Setup scripts and clear README so my in-house dev can redeploy without you
Acceptance criteria
• A user can book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment from both platforms in under 60 seconds.
• Booked slots instantly appear in the linked provider calendar without conflicts.
• Reminder notifications fire at 24 h and 2 h before the visit.
If you have proven experience building scheduling engines and understand healthcare data protection, I’m ready to start this week.
