Senior Frontend Developer for the GRAND Stack (GraphQL + React Native)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
NO AGENCIES!
We are looking for full-time fully Remote SENIOR or LEAD FRONT-END Developers for the GRAND Stack.
* Please don't apply unless you have more than 4 years of experience.
Who we are:
EventMe is a brand new social media experience, seeking to connect people through shared interests and real-world events. Founded and led by experienced entrepreneurs and technologists who have built multiple successful businesses, the EventMe team is distributed across the world: in Europe, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and more. We are a remote-first company and open to hiring from across the globe!
Who we're looking for:
We are looking for 2 front-end developers to work on our GRAND stack application, with 4+ years of relevant experience. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the CTO and an experienced engineering team to build the next-generation social media and ticketing platform, working with cutting-edge tools and technologies. You should be familiar with modern automated software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, snapshot and E2E test development, and be comfortable developing within a Continuous Integration (CICD) workflow. You must be experienced working with AGILE methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) and able to effectively develop from User Stories written in a BDD-style. You must be passionate about writing high-quality code.
Our tech stack:
Our technologies are based on the GRAND stack: GraphQL, React Native, Apollo Server, Neo4j Graph Database with TypeScript Everywhere. We are also using Docker, Kubernetes, Fastlane, EC2 and Terraform. The more demonstrable experience you have with these technologies (from an FE perspective), the greater your chances of success.
What we offer:
- Competitive salary
- Remote work
- Opportunity to shape the future of a global app
In addition to competitive salaries, we will offer attractive ESOP (equity/share options) to candidates that show a long-term commitment to the project. Applicants must be able to work with at least a 4-hour overlap with Europe working hours (CEST 0900-1800).
IMPORTANT NOTES
We are looking for long-term partnerships with developers on a full-time basis. If you are an agency, we are not interested. If you cannot commit to 40 hours/week and are not looking to be part of a dedicated, hard-working startup team working in an exciting, competitive and fast growing sector then *PLEASE DO NOT APPLY*. (No, seriously, the number of people who show up an hour late on the first day and then do 4 hours of work is really troubling and you'll only waste your own time. This is not a side gig.). You must be able to join daily standups with the team at 10am CEST.
Please begin your application with 'no agency' or your proposal will not be read. I CAN NOT emphasise enough how much time you will waste if you pretend to be a candidate and then offer agency services - WE ARE NOT INTERESTED.
Interview process:
1. We filter candidates based on their responses to the questions we have asked.
2. Each candidate will receive a small coding challenge - which should take around 1 hour to complete.
3. If the task is completed successfully, we will proceed with a VIDEO interview
