Description:
I’m looking for a mobile app developer who can build a lightweight social-style application using React Native for iOS and Android, with Firebase as the backend.
The app involves:
• Simple onboarding (age verification, basic preferences)
• Photo/video capture
• Text posting
• Sending content to a small group of users
• Receiving responses
• Basic 1-on-1 chat
• Push notifications
• User blocking/reporting
• AI-based content moderation (can use 3rd-party API)
I already have:
• A clear feature list
• A UX flow and app blueprint
• A structured technical outline
(Will be shared privately after NDA is signed.)
Your responsibilities:
• Build the frontend in React Native
• Set up Firebase authentication, Firestore, cloud functions, and storage
• Implement messaging logic
• Integrate push notifications
• Finalize UI and polish interactions
• Test on both iOS and Android
• Prepare the build for App Store and Google Play submission
• Provide basic post-launch support
Requirements:
• Strong experience with React Native
• Experience with Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Auth, Cloud Functions)
• Ability to implement a chat system
• Ability to integrate image/video capture
• Experience with app submissions to App Store and Google Play
• Good communication and ability to follow a detailed spec
• Willingness to sign a simple NDA before receiving the full details
Nice-to-have:
• Experience with AI moderation APIs
• UI/UX polishing skills
Deliverables:
• Full working app for iOS and Android
• Source code in a private GitHub repo
• Assistance preparing app store submissions
