React Native Expo Splash Screen & Audio Fix
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m rebuilding my “Quran Player MP3” with React Native Expo (EAS build) and I’ve hit a couple of obstacles.
My immediate priority is the native splash screen: I’ve already added splash-icon.png, pointed to it in app.json, double-checked the path, yet the image refuses to appear on either platform—it simply falls back to a blank background. I need someone who knows expo-splash-screen inside out to make that image render consistently on iOS and Android, both in development and EAS production builds.
Once the splash is solid, I’d like help finishing the remaining branding touches—icon.png for both stores and renaming the bundle so the device shows “Quran Player MP3”.
Finally, the audio layer (expo-audio) pauses whenever the phone’s display turns off, times out, sleeps, or the lock screen appears. I want continuous playback through all those states, the way a typical music app behaves.
Deliverables:
• Native splash screen displays splash-icon.png on iOS & Android
• App icon populated from icon.png for both platforms
• Bundle/app name updated to “Quran Player MP3” everywhere (home screen, settings, share sheet)
• Audio continues playing with expoaudiov during display off, timeout, sleep, and lock states, with any necessary background audio permissions or code changes
