React Native Developer for Food Delivery App

Job Title: React Native Mobile App Developer – Chef/Customer/Admin Platform
Project Type: Freelance / Contract (6–8 weeks full-time)

Project Stage: UI designs ready, backend tech selected, development to start now

Project Overview
We are building a cross-platform mobile application to connect local chefs with customers for meal pre-orders. The platform includes 3 user roles:

Customer App: Sign-up, view chefs, order meals

Chef App: Upload videos, accept/reject orders, track earnings

Admin Web Portal: Moderate content, manage chefs and orders

You will be responsible for building the React Native mobile frontend for both Customer and Chef roles, integrating it with backend APIs, and ensuring a smooth, scalable, and bug-free user experience.

Responsibilities
Build mobile apps using React Native for Android and iOS

Implement:

OTP login with Firebase

User registration with native-place mapping logic

Chef/dish discovery screen (with video player)

Meal pre-ordering flow and order acceptance window

Wallet and Razorpay/Stripe payment integration

Push notifications for order updates

Integrate mobile with REST APIs (Node.js/Spring Boot backend)

Follow modular, scalable coding practices

Collaborate with UI/UX designers (Figma provided)

Coordinate with backend team and QA automation testers

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have (Apply only if you meet all):

Skill Requirement
React Native 2+ years experience building production mobile apps
TypeScript Strong command (used in all frontend code)
Firebase Auth (OTP) Setup, phone verification flow
React Navigation Stack/Tab navigation with dynamic routes
API Integration RESTful APIs with Axios/Fetch
Push Notifications Firebase Cloud Messaging setup
Video Embedding Integrating video players (e.g., Vimeo/MP4 in-app)
Redux / Context API State management across user roles
Mobile Payments Experience integrating Razorpay/Stripe in RN
App Deployment Android (Play Console), iOS (TestFlight optional)
Version Control Git + GitHub workflows
Basic Testing Unit testing with Jest, UI testing preferred

Preferred Tools/Stack (Familiarity Needed)
Expo CLI (optional, preferred for fast prototyping)

Firebase (Auth, FCM)

Postman (API testing)

Figma (UI references)

Jira/Trello/Slack (project coordination)

Experience with multilingual app UI (e.g., Hindi/Kannada/Tamil/Telugu)
