Our customers need a smooth mobile experience that lets them browse our full product catalog and chat with us instantly when questions pop up. I want a single code-base solution that ships to both iOS and Android stores, so React Native or Flutter are the natural fits—feel free to suggest whichever you prefer as long as performance is crisp.
Core scope
• Product catalog: pull item data (images, specs, price) from our existing REST API and present it with quick search and category filters.
• Live chat support: real-time messaging that links to our Zendesk account (or an equivalent Firebase/Socket setup if you have a better idea). Customers should receive push notifications when agents reply.
Nice-to-have for phase two is order tracking, so structure the code and database calls with that future module in mind.
Deliverables
1. Source code in a private Git repo with clear commit history.
2. Testable builds (.apk and TestFlight link).
3. Brief setup documentation covering environment, build steps, and how to point the app at staging vs production endpoints.
4. Final signed releases ready for App Store and Google Play submission.
Acceptance
• Smooth 60 fps scrolling on a device as old as iPhone 8 / Android 10.
• Catalog and chat both load inside 2 seconds on a 4G connection.
• Zero critical bugs after a one-week beta with our internal team.
