Project Description
I run a live algorithmic trading signal platform (Node.js backend on a Linux VPS, React Native mobile app, Firebase auth) for Indian equity markets. The system is in production and needs a reliable freelancer for ongoing maintenance and a handful of specific fixes.
System overview:
Node.js/Express backend on a VPS, managed via PM2, fronted by NGINX with SSL
File-based data storage (no database) — signals written/read from JSON files on disk
Firebase for authentication, with a payments integration
React Native (Expo) mobile app consuming the backend API
Integrates with a third-party broker API for trade execution
What I need:
Ongoing maintenance — monitoring PM2 processes, restarting on crashes, checking logs for errors, basic server housekeeping (disk space, log rotation)
Bug fixes — [INSERT SPECIFIC ISSUES HERE, e.g. "signal data occasionally not refreshing in the app," "duplicate/conflicting data-generator scripts need reconciling," "deep-link handling for one broker integration is broken"]
Ability to debug Node.js server code and React Native app code confidently — not just restart services
Requirements:
Strong Node.js and Linux server experience (PM2, NGINX, SSH)
Comfortable with Firebase (Auth/Firestore)
React Native/Expo familiarity is a plus
Available for periodic remote login sessions (screen share or SSH), not necessarily full-time
Discretion required — you'll have access to a live financial application; NDA will be required before credentials are shared
