News Platform App & Web

The goal is to bring a news-first, content-driven platform to life across web, iOS and Android. I already have the product vision, wireframes and a set of priorities; what I now need is solid engineering firepower to turn that vision into polished, production-ready code.

Scope of work
• Mobile apps: Build native-feeling applications for both iOS and Android that share a single codebase where sensible (React Native, Flutter or similar), handle offline reading and support push notifications from day one.
• Website: Develop a responsive news portal that mirrors the mobile experience and shares UI components where practical.
• Backend APIs: Design and implement clean REST/GraphQL endpoints to serve articles, images and user data. The API tier also powers a lightweight admin dashboard used by editors to publish, schedule and moderate content.
• Basic AI features: Hook in server-side scripts (Python preferred) that auto-tag articles and suggest headlines based on simple ML models I will supply.
• Admin tools: Create an intuitive web interface for editorial staff to manage posts, user comments and real-time metrics.

Acceptance criteria
1. A deployed web build reachable at the provided domain.
2. iOS & Android apps passing App Store / Play Store review (TestFlight & internal track first).
3. Source code pushed to the shared Git repository with clear commit history and README.
4. API documentation generated via Swagger or similar.
5. A one-hour hand-over session walking through setup, deployment and future extensibility.

If you have experience shipping news apps, optimizing React Native/Flutter performance and wiring up backends that scale, this project should feel right in your wheelhouse. I’ll provide design assets, AWS credentials and regular product feedback; you bring the engineering savvy to ship quickly and cleanly.
