Mobile App Developer Needed – News / Magazine App (iOS & Android)

Project Overview
We are building and improving BangkokScoop, a modern short-news & magazine-style mobile app inspired by platforms like Flipboard and Inshorts.

The app focuses on 50-word visual news cards, smooth vertical scrolling, category-based feeds, bookmarks, and a clean reader experience.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile App Developer who has previously worked on news, content, or feed-based apps and understands performance optimization, especially on iOS.

Scope of Work

Improve & optimize an existing mobile app (iOS & Android)

Fix iOS performance / hanging issues on real devices

Optimize scrolling feeds, images, and navigation

Ensure smooth user experience similar to Flipboard / Inshorts

Work on future enhancements (features, UI polish, scalability)

Tech Stack (Current)

React Native (preferred)

Firebase / Firestore or REST APIs

Image-heavy vertical feeds

iOS & Android production builds

(Open to Flutter experts if experience matches)

Required Experience

Proven experience building content-driven / news / magazine apps

Strong knowledge of iOS performance optimization

Experience with:

FlatList / virtualized lists

Image caching & memory management

Real device profiling (iOS)

Ability to work with an existing codebase
