Lost Pet Finder App Development
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to move from idea to working product on a cross-platform mobile app that helps owners reunite with their lost pets and then grows into a revenue-generating marketplace for pet-related businesses. The first release needs to ship on both iOS and Android with a single codebase if possible.
Core user flow
• An owner creates a pet profile with photos and vital details.
• When a pet goes missing, the app records the last known location and shows it on an interactive map while sending push notification alerts to nearby users.
• In-app messaging lets finders and owners talk securely without revealing personal contact information.
Monetisation roadmap
Alongside the lost-and-found functionality, I want a built-in marketplace where groomers, vets, shelters and other pet services can advertise listings or special offers. Think of it as a native ad slot and storefront that can expand over time.
Key deliverables
• Native-feeling apps for iOS and Android (React Native, Flutter or similar is fine)
• Real-time location tracking and push notifications
• Secure chat with image support
• Marketplace module with basic product or service listings and payment placeholder
• Admin console to moderate content and manage business adverts
• Clean, scalable backend (Firebase, AWS Amplify, or your preferred stack)
• Full source code, build instructions and brief documentation
Acceptance criteria
1. A tester can publish a lost pet alert and see it appear on another device within 10 seconds.
2. Messages between two users arrive in under 5 seconds and are stored securely.
3. Marketplace listings load in under 2 seconds on a 4G connection.
4. App passes App Store and Google Play submission checks with no critical issues.
If you have proven experience with location-based apps, real-time chat or marketplace builds, I’d love to see your portfolio and discuss your proposed tech stack and timeline.
