Front-end developer for our React Native grocery shopping app
Budget: $10 – $20 USD
We’re looking for an experienced front-end developer able to work around 10 hours a week for our small startup company. You will be paid by the hour and work with a small international team with English as working language.
You will be working on the front-end of our grocery shopping/recipe app. It has recently been rewritten in React Native, with an Android and iOS version. Search for Grosh in the Appstore to learn more or visit groshapp dot com.
We expect you to be experienced in React Native, have good CSS styling skills, and know how to make fast and good looking user interfaces.
Upcoming tasks include
* make a React Native Web version of Grosh
* user interface improvements
* various minor bug fixes in the app
Knowledge of mobile oriented webapp development using HTML / JavaScript / CSS and Cordova would be good, but not mandatory (our current webapp and another app we have use that technology).
If both parties are happy with the collaboration, we have ongoing work for you for the foreseeable future, also with possibility of more hours per week. We’re flexible on how many hours you work per week, so it’s ok if you're busy on other projects from time to time. However, we do expect you to be able to deliver a bit of progress every week unless you’re on holiday.
You need to be able to read/write English to work with design documents and speak English to participate in sprint meetings.
We use bitbucket for source code control, so experience with this system or git in general would be good, but not a requirement.
As the majority of our users is on iOS, it is preferred that you have a Mac computer to run Xcode simulator to test the app, debug etc.
Note: We prefer to work with freelancers in time zone GMT +- 3h.
To apply for the project, please submit an application with the solution to the small “app exercise” attached to this job posting. If your exercise solution is good, we will then do a short online meeting before hiring a person for the job.
