Entry-Level React Mobile Enhancements
Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR
I already have a React-based mobile app live in the stores, but the first release was built quickly and now needs polish and a handful of fresh, user-facing additions. Because I’m bootstrapping a small startup, I’d like to give an enthusiastic junior developer a real product to sink their teeth into while working side-by-side (remotely) with our senior engineer for mentorship and code reviews.
Here’s the current focus:
• UI improvement: tighten up navigation flow and overall UX so screens feel intuitive, consistent and snappy on both iOS and Android.
• New feature roll-out:
– Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging already wired for basic keys).
– Social media integration for login and light content sharing.
– Payment flow to unlock premium content.
– Social groups / community spaces so users can connect in-app.
– Simple personalization settings that persist across devices.
You’ll be working in a GitHub repo using React (with React Native components), Redux Toolkit, and Expo. Merge requests will be reviewed by our tech lead, so you’ll get regular feedback and guidance whenever you hit a roadblock.
Deliverables are straightforward: each improvement or feature should arrive as a clean pull request, fully functional on both platforms, with brief README notes and any new environment variables documented.
If you’re comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript, eager to learn best practices, and can commit at least 15 hours a week over the next few sprints, this is a great chance to turn classroom knowledge into production experience while making a visible impact on a growing product.
