Art Design a picture Basic Student Social Chat App

I need a lightweight chat application where students can simply talk to one another while they study. The focus is social interaction—no tutoring modules, study guides, or video lessons—just straightforward “chatting.”

Scope (keep it lean):
• Private one-to-one messaging
• Group chat rooms for study circles
• Clean, minimal interface that works in any modern browser or as a small React-Native or Flutter build—whichever you can deliver fastest

Core requirements:
• Real-time updates (WebSocket, Firebase, or similar)
• User registration and login with email or Google
• Basic admin panel where I can delete users or groups if needed

Deliverable:
A functional prototype I can deploy on my own server or hand to a hosting provider, plus a short read-me explaining setup and dependencies.

Because this is an initial, low-budget phase, polish and extra features such as media sharing can wait; I just need the bare-bones chat experience up and running. If this first release goes smoothly, there’s room to return for enhancements later.
