About Us ?
FreightFlows is a fully-remote, small vc-backed data and analytics startup based in Boston, MA . We track and predict ship movements and cargo flows for the 30,000 largest shipping vessels in the world. We provide business insights, by tracking over 400 million messages a day and maintaining a best-in-class data lake of historical ship activity, polygonal maps of world shipping areas, global weather forecasts and a variety of valuable industry metrics. No other company provides predictive analytics due to the lack of transparency and the traditional, competitive nature of the industry. This is an incredible moment to help improve ship utilization, evolve chartering methods, and tackle decarbonization in an industry that contributes 4% of global climate change emissions.
