Razorpay Integration for MERN Site

I need a MERN-stack specialist who can plug Razorpay into my live e-commerce site and make the very first step of payment—initiation—feel effortless. Users should be able to fire off a payment with one click, whether they choose UPI, cards, net banking or a wallet, and move straight back to the store without friction.

Here is what the job entails:

• Build and expose Node/Express APIs that create Razorpay orders and verify signatures.
• Wire those endpoints to my existing React checkout so the payment sheet opens instantly and pre-populates the right data.
• On success or failure, update order status and store the full transaction object in MongoDB for later auditing.
• Handle retries gracefully, surfacing clear error messages when Razorpay responds with failure codes.
• Keep everything responsive, mobile-first and WCAG-friendly—no fancy extras, just a fast, clean flow.

Acceptance criteria
– Payment initiation completes in under three seconds on 4G.
– Signature validation passes 100 % in staging and production.
– Orders in MongoDB reflect the exact Razorpay status.
– All major methods (UPI, card, net banking, wallet) tested and documented.

The codebase already runs on Express, React, Redux Toolkit and Mongoose; you’ll receive a Git repo with an environment stub for Razorpay keys. If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s get started—functionality first, polish later.
