Hiring React Developer To Help Shape The Future Of Education
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
We are Outlier.org and we are looking for talented developers to help us shape the future of education.
Our platform has the world's best online, university-level courses, taught by some of the most celebrated educators in the world. Our courses use the active learning method to help students visualize, understand, and enjoy learning.
You will be joining our front-end team to build out our education platform and thoroughly test the features before they are deployed. Your work will be used by thousands of students each day to learn subjects like Calculus and Psychology. You will work closely with the product and engineering teams. We want you to help us develop new, more effective ways to teach.
Code quality is very important to us, and we build quickly while keeping our projects stable and maintainable. If this is attractive to you, you might be who we're looking for.
This role pays $600 - $800/week (30-40 hours). You will regularly make more than $3,200 per month if you put in the work.
However, this position is not for everyone, please do not apply if:
* You can't work more than 30 hours per week.
* You don't like to follow directions.
* You have little or no experience with either React, Git, or creating reliable tests
* You are unwilling to work between 9am and 5pm PT
You're likely to be a good fit if you are:
* Detail Oriented: When a page's spacing is uneven, you notice. A sloppy UI with overlapping elements will make your skin crawl.
*Test Crazy: You can't create a great feature without testing it for anything and everything that could happen during production. You pride yourself on creating water-tight and well representative tests that point out issues clearly, are constructed simply, and are scale reliably.
* A Good Communicator: You have no problem describing a plan in detail. You keep track of your accomplishments and can discuss potential issues with teammates before they happen.
* Proactive: You don't sit idle. You take pride in your work and constantly find things to improve.

Please use Upwork to apply for this position. If you attempt to contact Outlier via email or other means, we will not respond, and you will be disqualified from this and future positions.
We can only accept applicants that can follow instructions. We will not respond to any messages without first seeing the solution to the challenge.
Our platform is Node.js and React. We will coordinate via Slack and Github. We look forward to working with you!
