This project is the beginning of a potentially long-term relationship for the right candidate. AI-Assisted Development Focus
We're committed to speeding up the development process by leveraging cutting-edge AI tools:
- **V0 by Vercel**: For rapid UI prototyping and component generation
- **Cursor AI**: For accelerated coding, problem-solving, and code optimization
We're looking for developers who either already know these technologies or are enthusiastic about learning and incorporating them into their workflow. Familiarity with or a strong willingness to learn these AI-assisted development tools is crucial for this role.
Key Requirements
- **AI Tools**: Experience with or strong willingness to learn V0 and Cursor AI
- **Availability**: Must be available during one of the following time slots (Pacific Standard Time):
- 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM PST, or
- 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM PST
(Note: Work can be done at any time, but availability during these hours is required for communication)
- **Language**: Must speak clear and understandable English
- **Location**: We are based in Seattle, WA (Pacific Standard Time)
These requirements are non-negotiable. The specified hours are for communication purposes only, including potential screen shares and voice calls. You're free to complete the actual work at any time that suits you.

Key Responsibilities
- Leverage AI tools (V0 and Cursor AI) for rapid prototyping and accelerated development
- Develop and implement a robust backend using Node.js and Express.js on a Namecheap VPS
- Create a responsive, high-performance frontend using React and Next.js, to be hosted on Firebase
- Implement and manage PostgreSQL database on the VPS for core business logic
- Utilize Prisma ORM for database operations and schema management
- Integrate Firebase for authentication and potential realtime features
- Implement Stripe payment integration
- Create API endpoints for seamless communication with Cents platform
- Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the application
- Design system architecture with portability in mind, allowing for future migration from Firebase
- Provide input and suggestions for improving the tech stack or development approach
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and modern frontend development practices
- Solid understanding of Node.js and Express.js for backend development
- Experience with PostgreSQL database management and Prisma ORM
- Familiarity with Firebase services, particularly Authentication and Hosting
- Experience with Stripe API and payment integrations
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
- Strong knowledge of authentication and security best practices
- Experience with VPS management and deployment strategies
- Familiarity with strategies for avoiding vendor lock-in and designing portable systems
