B2B Custom-Built Vehicle Transport Marketplace
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Project Title: Vehicle Transport Load Board (MVP)
Project Overview: A custom-built B2B marketplace (No CMS/WordPress) connecting vehicle Shippers/Brokers with Auto Transport Carriers. The core value of the platform is a manual verification workflow performed by our internal operations team to ensure trust and safety.
1. User Roles & Permissions
• Carrier (Transporter): Registration requires Company Name, MC/DOT#, and document uploads (Cargo Insurance, W-9, ID). Account is "Locked" by default and cannot view load details until manually verified.
• Shipper / Broker: Can post, edit, and manage vehicle listings.
• Admin (Internal Team): Private dashboard to manage users and verify credentials.
2. Manual Verification Module (High Priority)
• Pending Queue: A real-time list of new registrations for the Admin team.
• In-Browser Document Viewer: PDF/JPG uploads must be previewed in a modal (pop-up) within the dashboard. No manual downloads required for verification to ensure speed.
• Action Buttons: Approve (triggers active status + welcome email) and Reject (opens a feedback field to notify the user of missing/expired info).
3. Core Load Board Features
• Posting Engine: Fields for Year, Make, Model, Condition (Operable/Inoperable), Trailer Type (Open/Enclosed), Price, Route (Origin/Destination with ZIP Codes), and Ready Date.
• Search & Filters: Search by Radial Distance from a ZIP code, vehicle type, and price per mile.
• Contact System: "View Contact Info" button (only visible to Verified Carriers).
4. Technical Requirements
• Frontend: React.js / Next.js (for performance and state management).
• Backend: Node.js, Python, or similar modern framework.
• Database: PostgreSQL (Relational) to handle complex routes and user roles.
• Storage: AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage using Private Buckets (Sensitive documents must NOT have public URLs).
• Payments: Stripe integration for monthly subscriptions.
5. Security & Legal
• SSL encryption, protection against basic vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS).
• Legal disclaimers on every load post clarifying the platform as a "Service Provider/Information Connector" only.
