Build a responsive and flat website based on content in a MongoDB (React / Material Design)

Job ID: 31444778

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

Our company maintains an extensive database of German companies. Now, we created statistical evaluations for states, regions and cities in Germany through our Python-based backend and stored them in a MongoDB. Every state, region and city in Germany shall have its own page for its statistical evaluation. The evaluation covers total revenue of companies, growth rates and more.

Primary goal of the website is to promote our main product: our list of the 5,000 largest companies. The list of the 5,000 largest companies will be included on the statistics pages through an ad implementation (“firstad”).

Your goal is to build a website that:
- Includes a statistical evaluation page (as in the preview “variables pdf” attached) for every entry in the MongoDB
There are three different types of entries: Landkreis | Bundesland | Stadt → every type has its own overview page (see next item)
- Includes overview pages that collect all entries (e.g. links to all statistical evaluation pages) for every type
- Ranks highly on Google and matches all criteria for SEO

--- Project Structure ---

The data for every page - including numbers and texts - is stored in dictionaries. The dictionaries, in turn, are saved in a MongoDB. Every entry in the MongoDB represents an own page that shall be created. In case the MongoDB is updated, the website should be updated as well.

For the webserver, we’d suggest a solution based on React / Material Design. However, we are open to other Javascript-based solutions.

All variables that are stored in MongoDB can be found in the variables pdf attached. The variables pdf also provides a preview of the desired layout. There are even more variables in the MongoDB.

--- General Requirements ---

Code shall be pushed to a Github repo, from Github Repo changes are pushed to a DigitalOcean cloud server (which acts as website)
During development, the website shall not be indexable and shall be passwort protected (to be shared with us)
The website shall run on a dedicated domain
The website shall be mobile-friendly
Loading times shall be quick
The website shall be Google-optimized
The MongoDB shall be protected from unsolicited access (only the webserver should be able to access it)
The website shall be protected against DDOS, etc.
Every page should contain a meta description and page title:
Page title = h1totalheading
Meta Description = metatext
There should be overview websites of all pages
For: “type” = Landkreis
For: “type” = Bundesland
For: “type” = Stadt
Include a cookie banner within style requirements in order to comply with EU laws

To get the project please answer the following questions:

1) How would you make sure that the website looks highly professional and flat? Please provide examples of past projects.
2) How would you make sure that the MongoDB access is protected?
3) How would you optimize the website for Google rankings?

Thanks a lot!
