Review Raspberry CM5 Carrier Board
Budget: ₹3,000 – ₹5,000 INR
I’ve completed the first-pass schematics and PCB layout for a carrier board built around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5. The design includes an on-board power stage, GPIO break-outs, and several high-speed USB links. Before I freeze the design, I need a fresh pair of expert eyes to vet the work against recognised industry best practices, with the main goal of confirming that the overall layout and connectivity are solid.
What I expect from you is a thorough design review that covers the entire schematic and the four-layer stack-up, calls out any routing, decoupling, impedance-control or component-placement issues, and flags potential power-integrity or USB signal-integrity traps—even minor ones I may have missed. Please apply standard DFM/DFT thinking in your feedback so the board goes smoothly through fab and bring-up.
Deliverables I’d like to receive:
• A marked-up PDF of the schematic and board with clear comments or callouts
• A concise written summary of recommended changes, prioritised by risk/impact
• (Optional) A short follow-up call or chat to walk through any critical points
If this is the kind of deep dive you do regularly, mention your relevant experience with Compute Module-based boards, high-speed USB routing or power-stage reviews when you respond.
